An open and honest approach
It is close to 3 years since we moved into our home that Mark and his team from City Contracting built. Mark was the ultimate professional throughout the process. He was always prompt to answer the phone, reply to information requests and discuss any ideas, queries or concerns that were raised. Throughout the build we discussed a number of material variations and some slight design changes with each being met with an open, honest and common sense approach. We are very proud of our home and would not hesitate to use Mark again should the situation arise.

Outstanding attention to detail
The renovations of my property needed a specialist builder due to the difficult nature of the block, and the previous bad work. Mark and his team understood the scope of work and over delivered on all aspects. I was so happy with the original reno, I engaged him to add a deck last year! I’d recommend City Contracting to anyone looking for an experienced, honest builder where attention to detail and longevity is paramount.
I needed a high quality builder
Late in the year of 2017, my search was on to find a good high quality builder. I needed a builder who lived local, hands on site, quality workmanship. My house was a $1m plus renovation (2018) at the top of Tugun Hill on a prime block of land, 5 bedroom house. I found Mark to be very approachable, easy going, and very organised. I highly recommend, Mark Spooner ( City Contracting ) for any building work, I will definitely use Mark again in the future.

We engaged Mark Spooner from City Contracting to undertake a major refurbishment project on our two-storey house in Tugun, Qld. We didn’t know Mark prior to this project but he and his quality of workmanship came highly recommended to us from a couple of friends.
Right from the start, Mark was very forthcoming with ideas and suggestions on how to improve the liveability of the house. We wanted to maximise the expansive views we have from our upper floor and Mark was able to modify the design concept to achieve this.
Mark’s input to the final house design was not only welcomed and appreciated, in many cases it resulted in cost savings.
We found Mark and his tradesmen polite, professional and a pleasure to work with. We are very pleased with how our house turned out, not only with the overall design and layout but also with the attention to detail.

As far as quality, City Contracting were second to none!
We never would have considered renovating a house until our meeting with Mark from City Contracting. Both my wife and I had zero renovating experience which always made taking the step into buying a house that needed work a daunting one.
We had an interior designer within the family and Mark worked closely and easily with them throughout the whole process. Having his input on designs would always ensure it looked great as well as being functional and practical.
As far as quality, City Contracting were second to none. We found all finishes to be of the highest quality and an area that Mark and his team pride themselves on.
What we also appreciated was that Mark treated our budget the same as he would want his own money being spent. He flagged any potential issues, provided solutions and kept clear lines of communication open about expenditure.
We came in right on budget, achieved the home we envisioned, with the highest quality finishes. We have had many compliments on our home and have referred Mark and City Contracting to friends and family who have also engaged them and have been very happy with the process and results.
