Top Level Refurbishment.

City Contracting completed a refurbishment of the top level of the Currumbin Surf Club, which had been a mostly un-used laundry, bathroom, storeroom and old bunk level.

We were briefed by our clients to convert the space into a Function room with male and female toilets, complete bar facilities and an office for Management.

This project had many complex components including the insertion of an extra large section of glass. This required jacking up the concrete roof and craning in structural beams. The concrete roof was then lowered back down. All windows and door units were replaced with extras added.

A major consideration while completing this project were the club patrons as operating hours were as per normal. Thus resulting in some very late pm and early am construction work timeframes.

The results was a beautiful private function room, with the main kitchen 1 floor below allowing staff to bring a continual flow of food. The room is located right above the ocean with the waves crashing onto the rocks below.
